The Duke of Edinburgh Cup
The “Duke of Edinburgh Cup” is an annual international series of charity golf events with Royal Patronage and has been running successfully for over fifteen years. The very first event was held in Portugal in 2001 while the 2016 edition saw participation from nine countries, including India.
The fifth edition of the India qualifiers commenced with the Madhavrao Scindia Charity Golf Tournament at DLF Golf and Country Club, Gurgaon, in April. The second Indian qualifier was held at The Prestige Golfshire, Bengaluru, on Saturday, August 27. The winning teams from these qualifiers would, later, join their countrymen from Delhi at the World Finals at Windsor Castle.
Bengaluru’s largest charity golf tournament sees proceeds benefit Christel House India, which helps young people by providing education and jobs.
