The AVT Champions tour is an innovative first of its kind initiative to promote competitive golf among senior golfers, similar to what happens across America. India currently has only one tournament catering to senior golfers and the AVT Champions Tour is a step forward in building a robust tour for senior golfers in India.
The inaugural year of the annual AVT Champions Tour golf tournament was played at Classic Golf & Country Club in Delhi NCR, Eagleton The Golf Resort in Bangalore, Oxford Golf Resort in Pune and Tollygunge Club in Kolkata.
The second season of this tournament begins with Classic Golf & Country Club in Delhi NCR.
The AVT Champions Tour is only the second national seniors (50 years and above) golf tournament in this country and is played across five age categories which are mentioned below.
Eligibility:
- Age 50-64: Maximum H'cap 14
- Age 65+: Maximum H'cap 18
