THE WORLD GOLFERS INVITATIONAL

THE EVENT

The world’s largest amateur golf tournament with national championships in over 40 countries. Designed to give all amateur golfers the thrill & prestige of representing their nation in a global invitational golf tournament against players of similar skill level.

Complies with USGA & R&A amateur rules. The World Golfers Invitational is a tournament that gives golfers the opportunity to compete against business executives, celebrities, VIP Clients, sponsors and golf enthusiasts.

The World Golfers Invitational lives up to the motto “Sports Promotes “Friendship and Business”, WGI endorses networking and helps achieve, build or further develop long-lasting global business relationship. Participants are invited to take part in the Business Networking Program, where golfers are paired with other golfers based on their field of industry and pairing preferences, placing similar business interests in close proximity. Participants in WGI are a diverse group representing a multitude of products and services, all with a shared interest of expanding their network with new friends, partners and business opportunities.

Format & Rules

World Amateur Golfers Invitational tournament will be played over 72 holes, stroke play, with Handicap adjustments after each round, giving all a fair and equal opportunity both in the team championship and individually within each flight.

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL : Players in both the Invitational compete for individual titles within each flight, as well as a team title. The Invitational counts the combined total score of both team members.

INDIAN CANCER SOCIETY – DELHI

Indian Cancer Society was established in 1951 by Dr. D.J. Jussawalla and Mr. Naval Tata as India’s first voluntary, non-profit, national organization for Awareness, Screening, Cure and Survivorship of those affected with this disease.

Indian Cancer Society – Delhi Branch has been doing sterling work in fighting cancer across Delhi NCR. It has been and continues to be the beacon of hope for thousands of our poor cancer affected brethren with it tagline “The Conquest of Cancer by Choice; not Chance”. The extent of help required is phenomenal. The society is entirely dependent on public support for its various activities including for financing the treatment and rehabilitation of cancer patients and for spreading the cancer awareness of its early detection.

INDIAN CANCER SOCIETY – DELHI ACTIVITIES

• Creating nationwide awareness of cancer, tobacco as a risk factors, survivorship, and encouraging regular checkups for early detection increasing the chances of cure and economic burden of treatment in an advanced stage.(Awareness outreach – about 4 million in one year)

• Providing for the early detection of cancer through cancer screening centers and mobile cancer screening camps across Delhi NCR, for the underprivileged. (Screened more than 2.25 lakh individuals since 1984)

• Providing funds for the treatment of cancer for underprivileged cancer patients through 17 empanelled hospital (More than 2500 patients supported since 1991)

• Providing support during and after treatment to underprivileged cancer patients through accommodation, rehabilitation, and survivor support groups. (More than 11000 ‘Bras and Prostheses’ have been distributed to the needy).
