The prestigious annual tradition of the Madhavrao Scindia Golf Tournament presented by DLF will once again be hosted by the DLF Golf & CC in Gurgaon, on March 16th and will welcome 100 corporate and business leaders getting together to support a great cause.
As a huge bonus of recognition, the tournament once again has been recognised as one of the leading charity golf tournaments in the world which means that two winning players will be invited to London for the World Finals of the annual Duke of Edinburgh Cup Global Charity event in London which includes a round at the private course of the Royal Family on the grounds of Windsor Castle as well to dinner with a member of the Royal Family at Windsor Castle’s state ballroom.
EVENT RULES & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Any player who has participated in the Indian national circuit / international golf tournaments for Ranked Indian national players/juniors/ladies/golf pro/teaching pro is not eligible for the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Final selection or any main prizes or trophies.
Players from the above categories are ELIGIBLE ONLY FOR SPOT PRIZES.
PAST DUKE OF EDINBURGH CUP WORLD FINALISTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS.
The Madhavrao Scindia Golf Tournament raises funds for education and medical care of underprivileged families in the Gwalior region, and every year also supports one promising young Indian pro golfer. For the last two editions, the foundation has supported the Hero WPGT No 1 in 2023, Sneha Singh, who recently obtained partial playing rights on the Ladies European Tour.
Past recipients of grants include Olympian Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs who went on to finish 17th on the 2024 Ladies European Tour final rankings, Asian Tour title winners Chikkarangappa & Rashid Khan and several others at the start of their professional careers.
Several generous donors and sponsors contribute annually to the cause of the Foundation, thus enhancing the reputation of the event globally.
DUKE OF EDINBURGH CUP
• An annual international series of charity golf events with Royal Patronage and has been running successfully for over fifteen years.
• The Royal Patronage is dedicated to helping young people worldwide by providing and giving support in Health, Education & Welfare by raising funds through a programe of national Amateur Golf Events around the world.
• Since the 2016 edition the Indian Team has been participating in the Duke of Edinburgh – World Finals hosted by the Royal Patronage
• A total of 4 winners from the Madhavrao Scindia Charity Golf and Christel House Charity Golf Tournament get the “once in a lifetime experience” of playing at Windsor, UK.
